Quickstart

Convert your first design into WordPress blocks in under five minutes.

This walks you through your first conversion using the Tapeto web app. No code required — if you want to automate this with the REST API instead, see API Reference.

  1. Create a free account at tapeto.dev/register. No credit card required — the Free plan includes 1 project per month.
  2. Create a project and upload your design. Tapeto accepts ZIP/HTML bundles and Figma files on every plan; Penpot, Adobe XD and Stitch are available from the Pro plan up. Each source has its own guide: ZIP / HTML, Figma, Penpot and Adobe XD.
  3. Choose a builder. Gutenberg is available on every plan and Elementor from Starter up. The other builders are marked Coming soon — see The conversion process, step by step and Pricing for the full breakdown.
  4. Run the conversion and wait for the status to change from queued to processing to completed.
  5. Check the Fidelity Score. Anything above ~85% usually needs little to no manual cleanup.
  6. Export or push. Download the result as JSON or WXR, or push it straight to a connected WordPress site — see Connecting WordPress.

Pushing directly to WordPress

Direct push requires the Tapeto WordPress plugin installed and configured on the target site, plus an active connection from your Tapeto account.

What “Fidelity Score” means

The Fidelity Score estimates how closely the generated blocks match the original design — spacing, typography, image placement and structure. It’s computed per conversion and shown alongside the result so you know how much manual review to expect before publishing.
